These terms apply to your order, please read them carefully. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please check this page from time to time to ensure that you are still happy with any changes. These terms are effective from 1 October 2019.  

By placing an order, you are accepting that this sales transaction is to be governed by the Law of England and Wales and subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. These terms do not affect your Legal or Statutory Rights.

Privacy Policy 

Expert Herbalist is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and is fully compliant with The Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By placing an order with us, you are agreeing that we can store your personal information (e.g. name, address, telephone number, email) and to use your contact details – (email and telephone) strictly for order-related issues only. We will only use your contact details for marketing purposes if you have opted-in to hear from us. All personal information is kept strictly PRIVATE, we NEVER sell customer information and share your order data ONLY with those companies who are an essential part of being able deliver your orders to you, namely the herbal distributor and postal services. We do not exchange customer information with other companies or individuals, nor with government organisations unless legally required to do so. 

Information we collect
Whilst using our site and to facilitate processing process orders, we may collect, process and store the following information about you:

  • Telephone number

  • Query information – if you use our Contact Form

Expert Herbalist is powered by Weebly. In instances where Weebly processes any data on behalf of Expert Herbalist – purchasing, creating an account or using our contact form – you will be bound by the Weebly Privacy Notice.

We do monitor website visitor traffic. However, we do so anonymously and only have access to IP address information. 

Cookies
This site uses Cookies to facilitate shopping and moving data from one page to another and to remember you when you return. If you turn off cookies you will be unable to place orders online. 

We DO NOT collect credit or debit card details. Payment details are processed by Square (SquareUp International Ltd). Square’s payment gateway is PCI Compliant, which means it meets requirements set by the PCI Security Standards Council to safely and securely accept, store, process and transmit cardholder data during the transaction to prevent fraud and data breeches. Payments are encrypted to protect against hackers which means that nobody has access to your full credit card number for orders. 

Controlling your personal information
You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

  • During the purchase process, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do/do not want the information to be used for direct marketing purposes;
  • If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes you may change your mind at any time by emailing us at customerservice@expertherbalist.com 
  • In line with GDPR you also have the ‘right to be forgotten’ by which you can request that all data about you held by Expert Herbalist will be deleted.

You may also request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee of £10 will be payable to cover our costs in providing you with the information requested. Security 
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical and electronic procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Online collection and storage of the above data always uses SSL encryption – you can check by looking in the top left corner by the URL and you will see a padlock icon. 
Please note that you will need a modern SSL encryption browser to use our 2048-bit encryption protected service. Browsers are free and you can choose from Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera or any other equivalent software.

Our website may contain links to other related websites. Please be aware that once you leave our site, we have no control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting these sites. Further, these sites are not governed by Expert Herbalist’s privacy statement. You should exercise caution when submitting data to websites and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
Delivery, Returns & Refunds

Delivery information

Orders will be arrived between 3 and 5 working days after purchase. All orders are sent first class by Royal Mail. Postage of your order is free.  
   
Payment 
To order goods from us, you must be at least 18 years of age and authorised to use the credit card, debit card or payment information that you are using to complete your order. You are also responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the details provided during the automated ordering process.

Returns and Refunds

  • Wrong item(s) received – If your order arrives and is not correct, please contact us immediately to let us know. We can then either arrange for the correct item to be sent to you or issue a refund. If you have received an incorrect item, we will ask you to return this. Please make sure that you send items back securely packed and tracked as we cannot refund items lost or damaged during the return. Please be aware that packaging for products may change over time, so when you contact us, we can check this with you before you incur any return postage costs. 
  • Damaged item(s) – If an item/items in your order arrive damaged, simply contact us to let us know. We can then either arrange for a replacement item to be sent to you or issue a refund. In order to receive a refund for a damaged item, we may need you to take a photograph of the damaged item and email it us.
  • No longer require products ordered – If you have placed an order in error, or simply changed your mind about the items, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can cancel the order before it is posted and issue a full refund. Where an order is cancelled after it has left us, we will only issue a refund when the items have been returned. In this event, please make sure that you send back items securely packed and tracked. 
  • Item not in stock – In the unlikely event that an item you have ordered is not in stock, we will inform you immediately by email. You will be offered the option of cancelling your order for a full refund if you do not wish to wait. 
  • Order has not arrived – If you do not receive your order within 10 working days, please inform us, quoting your order number. We will re-send out the order again, tracked and signed. 

Refund value
If the products being returned were purchased at a ‘sale’ price, the refund will only be to the ‘sale’ value. We issue refunds as soon as the returned items are received. For partials returns – for example if you ordered 2 items and just 1 is damaged, we will only refund the value of the damaged item, not the full order. 

Pricing 
All prices on our website are quoted in £ Sterling (GBP). Special promotions are valid as long as stocks last. We reserve the right, without notice, to increase an item or introduce delivery prices. In the event that product prices/details are entered incorrectly on this website by us, we reserve the right to amend the details and cancel orders (with full-refund) to those affected by the error.

In the event that you are not happy with the products or service you receive from Expert Herbalist, please contact us in writing (either by email or post) detailing the nature of your complaint:
